Hassan Enayati joined the Yang-Tan Institute (YTI), School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University in June 2014. He is currently working as a Research Associate for the Promise (Promoting the Readiness of Minors in Supplemental Security Income) and the EP-RRTC (Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Employer Practices Related to Employment Outcomes of Persons with Disabilities) grants, as well as working with the Institute for Compensation Studies.
Hassan obtained his PhD in labor economics from Michigan State University with a doctoral specialization in the economics of education. His dissertation research relied on the methodological approaches developed in labor economics and, more broadly, applied microeconomics to examine the impact of elementary and secondary school policies on inequalities in special education outcomes. This research was funded through an Economics of Education Program Fellowship under the Institute for Education Sciences (IES).
Before joining YTI, Hassan had prior experience as a Research Assistant and Instructor at Michigan State University and as a Research and Teaching Assistant at University of Illinois. As part of his IES appointment, Hassan worked with the Michigan Consortium for Educational Research in the building and analysis of administrative, education data for every Michigan public school student spanning from elementary through post-secondary education.
